She looked irritated. The seemingly-purposeless meeting had gone on a long time, and the man next to her was twisting his pen over and over, making a high, squeaky sound that grated on her nerves. I'd been channeling my meeting irritation into counting my breaths with my personal mala. (The voices in my head had told me I'd need that day.) I piled my mala into my hand and offered it to her. She took it, weighed it in her hand, and took a giant deep breath, visibly relaxing.

"They're meditation beads," I said to her in barely a whisper, in answer to her questioning look. She nodded and looked at them closely. "Would you like me to make you one?" I asked her. She nodded enthusiastically, deciding that she liked the black stones of my mala (which are lava rock), but that she wanted a "fun" color for her cord: hot pink or lime green.

This hand-knotted mala has neon green cord and 108 beads of energy-neutralizing, protective natural rainbow obsidian, with 3 spacer beads and a guru bead of crazy lace agate that was dyed green. When worn around the neck in a double loop, the green spacer bead sits right above the green drop, which rests at the perfect spot on the chest to add a fun pop of color to a neutral sweater.

If you would like me to create a mala just like this one for yourself, the price is listed. Please note that the one I have in stock is the first one pictured, with sage green cord instead of lime green.
